Get Paid To Shop

Hey friends! Sorry it’s been longer than usual between updates. Life has been a little crazy lately and I had to focus on home first.

With the holidays coming up, I am back to tell you an awesome little secret I first discovered a couple years ago… I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love saving money when they can, and I have learned how to get paid just for shopping online for the stuff I’m already buying. I’m not having to buy anything extra, or buy certain products to get paid- I just shop for the things I would normally shop for and I get paid real money that I can use to keep shopping, whether it’s for gifts, or to splurge on myself.

Pretty awesome, right? I thought so! I don’t have the time to clip coupons, so I am always interested in ways to save money right through my iPhone without being the lady in the store with the binder full of coupons. In fact, I thought this method was so awesome that I hardly ever shop in stores anymore. When I get ready to buy something, I shop online all over the internet- Amazon, Target, WalMart, Sephora, Ulta- and I get money deposited into my PayPal account every few months. Sound too good to be true? It’s not! It’s Ebates!!

How does it work? Simple! You shop online and Ebates gives you a percentage of your total back via PayPal or check. There’s even a section of the site that shows you which sites are offering double cash back that day. And the best part about it all is that you get money back no matter what you buy; you aren’t required to buy certain brands or items to get paid.

You can shop with Ebates a few different ways. My favorite way has been installing the Chrome extension onto my browser. I visit the sites as normal and the plugin automatically tells me if there’s money back available through those sites. For instance, when I visit Ulta.com I get this little popup that shows me there’s 3% cash back available. I click the little button and I am done- I will get 3% of my total back. And then when the next pay period arrives, Ebates automatically deposits my money into my PayPal account, which I can use next time I need to shop. I also have the Ebates app installed on my phone, so I can browse which stores are offering the biggest percentage back. That way if I need something from Target, but WalMart also has the item and are offering 6% back instead of 4%, I can get more of my money back from the purchase. You can also shop by visiting Ebates.com on your web browser.

Sure, 3% or 6% doesn’t sound like a whole lot. And if you’re spending less than $50, it might not be a lot. But think about if you were going to purchase furniture online through sites like Wayfair.com or an appliance from Lowe’s. Suddenly that small percentage translates into a pretty good chunk of money, which definitely comes in handy the next time you need to shop for a birthday gift, or Christmas presents like we’re all doing this time of year. And if you’re like us and working with one income, saving money is even more important to help stretch your budget, which is the main reason I signed up with Ebates in the first place.

Even if you don’t do a lot of shopping online, Ebates is an amazing service and everyone should sign up. Who doesn’t love getting extra money? Sign up using my referral link and you will get $10 once you make your first purchase using Ebates! Do it today and you could even get your first payout before Christmas!

This post is not sponsored. I just really love Ebates and wanted to share it with my friends. 🙂 I hope you love Ebates as much as I do!
